Up-date on the progress of the draft Trusts Bill

Section 182 of the New Zealand Family Proceedings Act 1980, is based on section 24 of the UK Matrimonial Causes Act 1973. This arguably arcane piece of legislation, which is currently being reviewed as part of a review of relationship property law being undertaken by the Law Commission, only has application following the dissolution of a marriage or civil union, can provide an additional (albeit discretionary) remedy following the end of a marriage or civil union.
